PATA Commemorates 75 Years in Pohang
In 2026, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) marked its 75th anniversary with a special event held during the PATA Annual Summit in Pohang, Korea. This milestone highlighted PATA’s longstanding role in the regional and global travel industry.
Recognizing Decades of Member Contributions
As part of the anniversary celebrations, PATA honored member organizations that have demonstrated continuous commitment to the tourism sector for significant periods, ranging from over 50 to more than 70 years. These organizations received formal acknowledgment for their enduring partnership and service within the association.
The recognition reflected PATA’s appreciation of the sustained loyalty and contributions of these members, which have played
an important role in the organization’s long-term industry presence. The event underscored the association’s history of supporting tourism development in the Asia Pacific region.
