
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) held its 75th anniversary event in Pohang, South Korea, commemorating over seven decades of collaboration in advancing tourism throughout the Asia Pacific region. This occasion coincided with the 2026 PATA Annual Summit in the coastal city, underscoring PATA’s enduring presence in global tourism leadership.
At the summit, PATA recognized member organizations that have maintained continuous involvement for more than seventy years. This acknowledgment highlighted the longstanding partnerships that have shaped the association’s contributions to the tourism sector.
In addition, members with fifty and sixty years of loyal partnership were also honored during the event.
These acknowledgments reflected a broad spectrum of long-term membership, showcasing sustained commitments to the tourism industry.
Beyond member recognition, the summit emphasized themes related to the future development of sustainable tourism growth, innovation, and hospitality advancement within the Asia Pacific region. The event served as a platform to reflect both on historic achievements and emerging priorities for regional tourism.
