Norwegian Cruise Line has officially canceled the Norwegian Viva’s sailings departing from Puerto Rico, discontinuing the ship’s presence in San Juan through 2028. Instead, the cruise line is relocating the vessel’s homeport to Miami, Florida, marking a significant operational change that extends through the next several years.

As a result, several hundred days of sailings originally scheduled from San Juan will no longer take place. This move reflects Norwegian Cruise Line’s broader strategy to enhance its focus on cruising operations out of Miami and expand its reach within the Bahamas market. Passengers who had planned voyages on Norwegian Viva from

Puerto Rico will need to adjust their plans according to this updated deployment.
