Norwegian Cruise Line began accepting reservations in late October 2026 for its new Prima-Class vessel, Norwegian Bella. The ship measures approximately 1,129 feet in length and registers 170,000 gross tons. It will carry up to 3,921 passengers at double occupancy and begin seven-day round-trip Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona, Spain starting May 2028.

Norwegian Bella’s inaugural itinerary offers stops in major Mediterranean ports including Rome, Florence, and Salerno in Italy; Marseille in France; and Palma de Mallorca in Spain. It will join Norwegian Aura as the largest vessels in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet.

Both Norwegian Bella and Norwegian Aura

are under construction in Italy by shipbuilder Fincantieri. Norwegian Bella’s interior design features contributions from AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design, and Studio Dado.

The ship’s onboard experiences include Ocean Heights, a multi-level open-air complex that spans decks 18 through 21. Norwegian Bella also offers a wide range of family and adventure attractions such as the Eclipse Racers, Bella Free Fall waterslide, The Wave raft slide, The Drop dry slide, Bella Ropes Course, Bella Midway carnival area, Moon Climber adventure course, Kids’ Aqua Park, Party Slide, Infinity Loop waterslides, and a nine-hole mini golf course.

Ocean Boulevard, the

promenade on deck 8, encircles the ship and features Infinity Beach with infinity pools, hot tubs, and an outdoor bar. Dedicated children’s areas include Little Explorers’ Cay, Adventure Alley, and Surf’s Bay for teens. The pool deck is more than 15% larger than comparable areas on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, with an infinity hot tub and a large LED entertainment screen.

For adults, the Vibe Beach Club offers an adults-only retreat with infinity hot tubs, an oceanfront bar, relaxation spaces, and daybeds. Norwegian Bella contains nearly 2,000 staterooms ranging from studios and inside rooms to balcony accommodations. The Haven

by Norwegian, the ship’s premium keycard-access area, includes 159 suites designed by Piero Lissoni, private elevators, a sundeck with an infinity pool and hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and cold room, a private restaurant and bar, lounge, and 24-hour butler and concierge service.

The hull art on Norwegian Bella is an original work by Australian contemporary artist George Rose, who described it as “vibrant color, organic forms and a feeling of movement” capturing the “sense of wonder that travel inspires.” The artwork is designed to complement the ship’s voyages to remarkable European destinations.

Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line,

said Norwegian Bella represents “the culmination of our award-winning Prima Class,” incorporating innovations and guest feedback. He highlighted the ship’s enhanced outdoor spaces, family-friendly attractions, and elevated venues as designed to provide “freedom and flexibility to vacation exactly how they want to, without anyone having to compromise.”
