Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of multiple months of scheduled cruises aboard its Norwegian Viva ship. These cancellations affect itineraries that were planned for the Caribbean region.
Alongside the suspension of these cruises, the company is changing its Caribbean homeport operations. Instead of departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, cruises will now embark from Miami. This change is set to remain in effect through at least early 2028.
The redeployment means passengers who previously booked Caribbean cruises on Norwegian Viva should anticipate itinerary adjustments and sailings departing from Miami rather than San Juan. Details about the specific number
of canceled cruises or exact dates beyond the general timeline have not been disclosed.
