Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. will launch Norwegian Aura, its largest ship to date and newest Prima Plus Class evolution, in 2026. The ship will introduce 15 distinct wellness experiences in its Thermal Suite, including 11 new offerings, making it the industry’s most expansive thermal spa. Norwegian Aura will also debut new dining options and redesigned public spaces to enhance guest experience.

Thermal Suite and Expanded Wellness Facilities

The Mandara Spa aboard Norwegian Aura spans two decks and was designed by the Rockwell Group to create a nature-inspired sanctuary. Key features include the Sensory Rain Pool, the first of its kind at sea, offering a 360-degree

immersive environment replicating changing weather with rainfall and thunder effects. Additional thermal experiences include the Blue Glow Suite, Foot Spa, Waterfall Experience, Snow Cave, Reflection Pool, and guided Hot and Cold Plunge sessions.

The spa encompasses 24 treatment rooms, a Salt Room, Meditation Lounge, Aromatic Steam Room, Finnish and Charcoal Saunas, Zen Lounge, a full-service salon, and Skin Lab. Expanded medi-spa services will include IV therapy, NAD+ injections, and acupuncture. A state-of-the-art fitness center with dedicated training studios supports overall wellness programming on the ship.

New and Redesigned Dining Venues

Norwegian Aura will feature 22 food and beverage venues covering over 10 distinct cuisines. Its

specialty restaurant Tamara, located on Deck 8, marks NCL’s first dedicated Indian cuisine venue, with a design inspired by North Indian temples and courtyards. Menu highlights include regional dishes such as Short-Rib Dosa and Lamb Biryani prepared in an open-view kitchen centered on tandoor ovens.

The Panorama Room on Deck 6 introduces an immersive complimentary dining concept, utilizing LED displays, multi-channel audio, and synchronized lighting to create evolving visual environments throughout the day. The main dining room, Hudson’s, will feature a redesigned interior with sweeping 270-degree ocean views.

Other refreshed dining spaces include Le Bistro and Sukhothai on Deck 7;

Palomar, Onda by Scarpetta, and Cagney’s Steakhouse on Deck 8, all benefitting from expanded seating and updated designs. Japanese specialty restaurants Hasuki and Nama return with new décor. The Surfside Café is expanded to cover both sides of the ship. Indulge Food Hall returns with nine global stations, incorporating new Middle Eastern concepts and Mexican dishes inspired by Los Lobos. The Local Bar & Grill offers complimentary pub-style fare nearly all day.

Enhanced Public Spaces and Bar Areas

Public areas throughout Norwegian Aura have been redesigned to provide more openness and comfort. The Penrose Bar & Atrium doubles seating availability and adds a dedicated entertainment stage.

Other bars include the Metropolitan Bar, featuring a sustainable cocktail menu; Swirl Wine Bar; Belvedere Bar; Whiskey Bar; and the Daybreak Bar on Deck 18 overlooking the pool.

The Haven luxury complex includes a newly designed Haven Bar and Lounge, and Haven Restaurant, both styled by Studio DADO to evoke natural tranquillity with earth tones and lush décor.

Family Entertainment at Ocean Heights

Norwegian Aura offers Ocean Heights™, a large family activity zone with six slides, an 82-foot Aura Ropes Course, a multi-level obstacle course, Moon Climber, Aura Midway with carnival games, and a nine-hole mini golf course. This zone also includes the cruise line’s

first overhanging cabanas with views over Vibe Beach Club and a dedicated bar.

Inaugural Itineraries Starting May 2027

Norwegian Aura’s first sailing will be a seven-day Mediterranean cruise from Trieste, Italy to Barcelona, Spain, beginning May 21, 2027. This will be followed by a 13-day transatlantic voyage to Miami. In the summers of 2027 and 2028, the ship will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises with ports of call including Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said, “Norwegian Aura is all about giving guests more of what they love, with spaces and experiences that make

vacation feel even easier.”
