New Brunswick is targeting a rise in annual tourism revenue from $2.7 billion to $3.7 billion, according to an announcement published on October 12, 2026. The province’s plan aims to significantly expand income generated by tourism.

Key attractions include the Giant Lobster monument located in the Town of Shediac, a well-known destination for visitors. Another major draw is Kouchibouguac National Park, operated by Parks Canada, which continues to attract outdoor enthusiasts to the region.

Visitor Growth Strategy

Tourism Minister Isabelle Thériault has emphasized the province’s goal to increase visitor numbers throughout the entire year rather than seasonally. This approach attempts to create steadier

tourism activity across all months.

The provincial government’s strategy focuses on boosting tourism-related revenue by approximately one billion dollars. This is part of a broader effort to grow New Brunswick’s tourism sector and enhance its economic contributions over the coming years.
