KLM cancelled more than 40 flights at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on October 23 and 24, 2026, following the impact of Storm Austin. The airline called off 20 flights on October 23 and scheduled 22 cancellations for October 24, affecting both arrivals and departures at the airport.

Flights from Amsterdam to Geneva, London, and Bergen were cancelled on October 23. Incoming flights to Amsterdam from Warsaw, Birmingham, and Lyon were also cancelled. Storm Austin brought heavy rainfall and strong winds across the Netherlands, causing delays of two hours or more for dozens of flights operated by various airlines.

office told ANP that despite the adverse weather, the impact on airport operations has so far remained limited. The airport continues to manage flight disruptions caused by Storm Austin on October 23 and 24, 2026.

Travelers faced cancellations of over 40 flights and significant delays during this period at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, illustrating the storm’s impact on airline schedules in the Netherlands.
