The 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) is scheduled for August 27-29, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) under the theme “Vibrant Connections – Global Destinations.” Since its inception in 2005, this edition is set to be the largest with expanded exhibitor and buyer participation.
Exhibitor and Buyer Participation
ITE HCMC 2026 will feature over 520 exhibitors and 260 high-level international buyers representing regions including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Oceania. A dynamic hosted buyers program, unique in Vietnam, supports this growth
in engagement. Pre-scheduled events include Buyers-Sellers Speed Dating on August 26 and B2B Business Matching sessions on August 27 and 28, with a total of 21,000 Business-to-Business appointments arranged.
International buyers and media delegates will have access to pre- and post-event tours organized to complement the expo.
Organizing Bodies and Government Support
The expo operates under direction from Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Organizers include the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, with support from the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam
Advertising & Exhibition Joint Stock Company.
Tourism Ministers’ Meetings and International Organisations
A key feature of ITE HCMC 2026 is the concurrent hosting of three Tourism Ministers’ Meetings related to Mekong subregional cooperation frameworks in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will also include participation from major international tourism groups, such as UN Tourism, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). Corporate partners invited include Google, Mastercard, EuroCham, and the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO).
Tourism Forum and Public Programs
On August 27, the Tourism Forum will focus on “Shaping the Future of MICE Tourism: Innovation, Sustainability and Global
Connectivity.” Attendees will include government officials, tourism industry leaders, and representatives from GSTC, TCEB, PATA, Mastercard, and Google. Throughout the expo, destinations and tourism promotion agencies will host thematic workshops, presentations, and networking sessions.
A public program aligned with the expo will offer artistic performances, cultural exchanges, culinary presentations, and various interactive activities designed for consumer engagement.
According to Pham Huy Binh, director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the 20th edition of ITE HCMC reflects a significant expansion in scale and quality since its launch, asserting the event’s growing prominence on the global tourism stage.
