IndiGo Begins Mumbai-Dar es Salaam Daily Flights Nov 20

IndiGo airline will begin daily direct flights between Mumbai, India, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, starting November 20, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The Mumbai departure is at 2:20 am, arriving in Dar es Salaam at 6:05 am. The return flight departs Dar es Salaam at 7:05 am and lands in Mumbai by 3:55 pm.

IndiGo Expands African Network with Exclusive Mumbai-Dar es Salaam Service

IndiGo becomes the only Indian airline to operate nonstop flights between Mumbai and Dar es Salaam. The airline currently offers direct flights from India to Nairobi in Kenya, Mauritius, and Seychelles, marking its expanding footprint in Africa as part of its growing international network.

India-Tanzania Trade Growth Drives New Route

This

route launch is part of IndiGo’s strategy to deepen connectivity with East Africa amid increasing trade and economic ties between India and Tanzania. India is one of Tanzania’s largest trading partners. The new direct service supports business travel, trade, investment, tourism, and educational exchanges between the two countries.

Aloke Singh, IndiGo’s chief strategy officer, stated, “The launch of direct daily flights between Mumbai and Dar es Salaam underscores our commitment to building stronger connections between India and fast-growing global markets.” He added, “Tanzania is an important economic partner for India and a gateway to East Africa, with growing demand for

travel driven by trade, investment, tourism and cultural ties.”
