India’s Ministry of Tourism recently convened a summit in New Delhi to address the development of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. This meeting gathered key stakeholders to discuss enhancing cooperation at the local level to better support the country’s business events industry.

Efforts to Streamline Local Collaborations

The focal point of the summit was the Ministry’s initiative to streamline partnerships within the MICE industry. The aim is to foster improved collaboration among local entities, which is seen as crucial for bolstering India’s position as a competitive destination for hosting conferences and exhibitions. These efforts are targeted at enabling a more coordinated approach

among stakeholders involved in the MICE ecosystem.
