India’s inaugural bullet train is now scheduled to begin operations in 2027 following multiple years of delay, according to EasternEye. The launch date marks the resumption of the Modi-led high-speed rail project, which has faced setbacks over time.

The bullet train will operate along a 508-kilometer high-speed rail corridor connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The project route includes construction sites such as Boisar and is a key component of India’s rail modernization efforts.
