The Holland America cruise ship Zaandam encountered a propulsion problem in June 2026 that affected its scheduled itinerary along the Alaska route. As a result, the ship made an unscheduled overnight stay in Juneau, Alaska.
Following the technical difficulties, several planned port visits after Juneau were cancelled. Passengers onboard faced changes to their itinerary, with the ship unable to continue its cruise as initially planned beyond the Alaska capital.
