Hilton has officially opened the Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa in Chania, Crete, Greece, introducing its flagship brand property in the city’s historic Old Town area on July 13, 2026. The resort is located just five minutes on foot from the Old Town entrance and a 20-minute drive from the airport.

Accommodation Features and Design

The resort comprises 85 rooms and suites, each featuring private balconies equipped with heated pools. A selection of these accommodations includes in-room saunas and views overlooking the Aegean Sea. Additional guest amenities include a heated rooftop infinity pool offering vistas of the Aegean coastline and a botanical

garden with panoramic sunset views.

Culinary and Leisure Venues

Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa offers multiple dining and lounge options. Poème de la Canée operates as an all-day venue with Mediterranean cuisine and live entertainment. Céleste, a rooftop restaurant and bar, features a heated infinity pool and panoramic sea views. The property also includes Fauchon Café Pâtisserie, bringing French-style pastries and gourmet sandwiches, The C Bar lounge that serves aged spirits and premium cigars, and Little Galaxy, a rooftop botanical garden for intimate events with a capacity for 120 guests.

Spa, Wellness, and Fitness Facilities

The onsite spa operates under the L’Occitane en Provence brand and includes

four treatment rooms, a hammam, saunas, steam baths, relaxation lounges, and a retail boutique. The resort also has state-of-the-art fitness facilities and both indoor and outdoor heated pools with sea views, designed to accommodate a wellness-focused experience.

Operational Strategy and Industry Position

David Kelly, senior vice president for Continental Europe at Hilton, described the opening as marking the return of Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ flagship brand to Greece, complementing the network of more than 50 Hilton hotels now operating in the country. Lambros Tsiledakis, vice president of development and operations of the Tsiledakis Group, emphasized the year-round operation strategy aimed at meeting international traveler standards

while maintaining local authenticity.
