GOL Linhas Aéreas commenced nonstop service between Rio de Janeiro and New York-JFK on July 8, 2026. This route operates three times weekly and marks the airline’s first long-haul international connection.

Flight Schedule and Equipment

Flights depart from Rio de Janeiro on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Return flights from New York-JFK run on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The airline utilizes Airbus A330 aircraft for this service.

GOL’s U.S. Presence and Network Focus

In addition to its new Rio-JFK route, GOL serves Miami and Orlando airports in the United States. The airline’s main network remains concentrated across South America.

Long-Haul Expansion Plans

GOL first announced the Rio-JFK nonstop route in March 2026. The airline

intends to expand its long-haul operations, including transatlantic flights, as it receives additional Airbus A330 aircraft.
