On July 14, 2026, Frontier Airlines announced the addition of four new routes set to launch later that year, expanding its network across the United States and Caribbean. The new routes include service to Denver, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, and San Juan. To mark the expansion, Frontier is offering fares starting at $69.
Ticket Purchase Deadlines and Fare Restrictions
Tickets for the sale must be bought by 11:59 pm Eastern time on July 20, 2026. Sale fares require a 21-day advance purchase and are valid only for nonstop travel on selected days through January 4, 2027. Travel blackout periods apply from November 20-25 and November 27-30,
2026; December 23-24, 26-27, and 30-31, 2026; and January 2-3, 2027.
Expanded Network and Geographic Coverage
The new service incorporates major airports including Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan. These additions enhance Frontier’s connections across key U.S. hubs and Caribbean destinations.
Upgraded Passenger Experience and Loyalty Benefits
Frontier Airlines is rolling out several product enhancements under its “The New Frontier” initiative. This includes the introduction of UpFront Plus seating, which offers extra leg and elbow room with guaranteed empty middle seats in the first two rows. In 2026, Frontier will
also debut First Class seating, providing greater comfort at competitive fares. The airline’s Frontier Miles loyalty program enables members to earn miles at a 10X multiplier per dollar spent, with elite tiers offering priority boarding, seat selection, and complimentary bags. Family pooling of miles is also available for elite members.
