On July 7, 2026, numerous European countries witnessed significant disruption to air travel, with a total of 403 flights cancelled and approximately 2,550 delayed. These disturbances spanned key nations including Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and Switzerland, impacting air traffic over a wide area.

Among the airlines affected were Air France, ITA Airways, and Wizz Air Malta. The disruptions were particularly pronounced at several major airports such as Milan, Rome, Barcelona, and Lisbon, where a large number of flights were grounded or experienced delays. Travelers at these hubs faced considerable interruptions to their planned journeys throughout the day.
