Five American passengers who were under quarantine in Nebraska due to potential exposure to hantavirus during a cruise have been released and permitted to return to their respective home states. The quarantine was established to address the risk associated with their recent cruise ship voyage.
Despite these five passengers being discharged, thirteen more individuals connected to the same cruise remain in quarantine at the Nebraska facility as a precautionary health measure. The situation continues to be monitored to ensure passenger safety and containment of any potential health threats related to hantavirus.
