Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announced on August 18, 2026, the opening of its first hotel in Thailand, the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, located in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district. This launch marks Fairmont’s entry into the Thai market under Accor Group’s management.
The hotel comprises 416 guestrooms and 58 suites, designed by Thai architectural and interior design firm PIA. Its design embraces Thailand’s botanical heritage through floral motifs, highlighted by a lobby chandelier inspired by the golden ratchaphruek blossom, consisting of 4,166 glass pieces and over 35,000 crystal balls. The hotel embodies a ‘blooming stage’ philosophy symbolizing purposeful unfolding inspired by flowers.
Dining Venues and Entertainment

Bangkok Sukhumvit will feature seven dining venues opening throughout 2026. Key outlets include Harper’s, a North American-French brasserie concept, AELA Social Bar, transforming from a daytime lounge to a cocktail destination, and CAYA Pool Club, offering contemporary Thai street food in a relaxed atmosphere. The Wiggle Room, a cabaret-style supper club with live performances, is scheduled to open in mid-September 2026 with a private entrance at Sukhumvit Soi 18. Two rooftop dining concepts will debut in December 2026 on levels 32 and 33, blending Italian-Japanese cuisine and contemporary Thai culinary heritage with views over Bangkok.
Wellness, Family, and Pet-friendly Features
The hotel integrates wellness through
Fairmont’s Wellness Without Walls approach. Facilities include a spa inspired by the jasmine flower, a Fairmont Studio for yoga and fitness training, and Fairmont Fit programming to maintain guest wellbeing. Family travelers benefit from dedicated Kids Club programming, while pet-friendly policies accommodate animals up to 30 kilograms. The Fairmont Gold experience offers a ‘hotel within a hotel’ service, featuring private reception, exclusive lounge access, and dedicated concierge assistance.
Event Spaces and Sustainability
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit provides over 21,500 square feet (2,000 square meters) of flexible event space across three floors. This includes a Grand Ballroom with a 12-meter ceiling and seven breakout rooms, suited
for conferences, weddings, and social events. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the property incorporates biophilic design, smart energy systems, water recycling, EV charging, and a heat-reduction façade, aligning with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited’s (AWC) mission of sustainable development and long-term value creation.
