The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) implemented a ground delay program on October 4, 2026, at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport due to low ceilings and adverse weather conditions. The program affects flights departing from the contiguous United States to Austin.

Delays under the FAA ground delay program average about 66 minutes, with some flights experiencing maximum delays of up to 129 minutes. Arriving aircraft are using Runway 36L while departures are conducted on Runway 36R. The delay program is expected to continue through early Monday morning, October 5, 2026, according to the FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center.
