EXPO 2027 will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, aiming to create new business opportunities and strengthen economic cooperation between Serbia and North Macedonia.

Visit Serbia B2B Networking Drives Regional Partnerships

The Visit Serbia B2B Networking event convened more than 50 representatives from Serbian and North Macedonian business and tourism sectors in Skopje on 8 October 2026. Organised within the international Visit Serbia roadshow, the event sought to facilitate partnerships tied to EXPO 2027 opportunities.

North Macedonia Participation and Pavilion Theme

North Macedonia will join EXPO 2027 with a national pavilion entitled “All Rhythms of the Sun,” showcasing its music, gastronomy, wine, tourism, culture, and creative industries to an international audience.

Volunteer Engagement and Regional Involvement

Over 16,000 individuals

have applied to volunteer for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, including 850 applicants from North Macedonia. These volunteers will serve as ambassadors of the event and contribute to its regional significance.

Business Programme Features and Digital Platform

The EXPO 2027 agenda comprises six thematic business forums, a two-day Global Business and Technology Summit, more than 250 bilateral business events, and over 50,000 scheduled business meetings. A dedicated digital B2B platform enables companies to identify partners and arrange meetings prior to the event.

Tourism Growth and Collaborative Itineraries

The event encourages joint travel itineraries linking Serbia and North Macedonia. From January to July 2026, 82,047 tourists from North Macedonia visited Serbia, representing a 22%

increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Official Statements on Regional Opportunities

Danilo Jerinić, CEO of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, noted the considerable volunteer interest and urged North Macedonian business and tourism communities to join in making the event a regional opportunity. Jerinić said, “I am particularly pleased by the strong interest in our volunteer programme. Our volunteers will be the welcoming face of the Expo – the people who will greet the world in Belgrade next year.” He added, “That is why we are here today: to invite North Macedonia’s business and tourism communities to make Expo 2027 Belgrade a shared opportunity for our

region.”
