Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) on March 28, 2027. The service, operated on Delta’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, will launch with three weekly flights before increasing to daily departures from June 7, 2027.
Passengers on the route will have access to four cabin classes aboard the Airbus A350-900: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main Cabin. Premium travelers will benefit from dedicated check-in lanes and access to two Delta One Lounges at LAX, including a recently opened location in Terminal 2. By 2028,
Delta plans to operate four lounges at LAX totaling more than 60,000 square feet.
Expansion of Asia-Pacific Network and LAX Infrastructure
This new nonstop service is part of Delta’s expanding Asia-Pacific network and complements its joint venture with Korean Air. The partnership enhances connectivity by combining nonstop routes with connecting flights through Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN). Delta’s broader LAX international route growth includes destinations such as Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Shanghai, reinforcing LAX’s position as a key West Coast hub.
Strategic and Cultural Importance of the Route
Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, Jeff Arinder, stated the airline’s investments in LAX continue to grow its Asia-Pacific offerings and improve customer experience through expanded
lounges. He noted the addition of the Manila route strengthens Delta’s role as the leading global carrier at LAX and its premier status on the U.S. West Coast.
Doug Webster, Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports, expressed that LAX is proud to welcome Delta’s nonstop Manila flights as a direct connection to family and culture in the Philippines. Webster highlighted the significance of the service for Southern California’s Filipino community and the partnership with Delta to deliver quality international service.

Delta has not disclosed exact departure and arrival times for the LAX-Manila route, nor has it
announced ticket pricing across the four cabin classes. The launch date for booking sales remains unrevealed, and further service frequency details beyond June 2027 have not been made public.
