Cyprus registered a record 580,889 tourist arrivals in September 2026, marking a 1.8 percent increase over September 2025’s 570,635 visitors, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). Compared with September 2024 totals of 509,463 arrivals, the island saw a 14 percent increase in tourism over the two-year span.

The Real Estate Agents Registration Council reported that property transfers in Cyprus reached €3.72 billion
from January through September 2026, reflecting a 6.6 percent year-on-year increase in value. Furthermore, the number of completed property transactions grew by approximately 4.1 percent during this period, with 14,969 sales contracts deposited nationwide, a 14 percent rise from 13,173 in the same period in 2025.
Deputy Tourism Minister Kostas Koumis indicated the September data demonstrate tourism’s rebound from disruptions caused by geopolitical challenges. The arrival figures underscore a longer-term upward trend in tourism despite difficulties earlier in the year.
