Accor has named New York City’s Ink 48 hotel as the first U.S. flagship for its MGallery Collection, effective 2028. The hotel will remain open during renovations to boost its boutique luxury status.

IHG has signed a two-hotel franchise agreement with King Park Hotel Sdn. Bhd., launching its franchise model and the Garner Hotels brand in Malaysia. Garner Hotel Kota Kinabalu will rebrand existing hotel rooms with phased openings by 2029, while Holiday Inn Express Tawau will open in 2028.
