Tampa International Airport will gain nonstop year-round service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, operated by Breeze Airways beginning June 18, 2027. Breeze will fly this route twice weekly on Fridays and Mondays using Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Breeze Airways Expansion at Tampa International Airport
Breeze Airways has expanded its international destinations from Tampa International Airport, with Santo Domingo becoming its sixth international city served. The airline started nonstop flights to Punta Cana from Tampa on July 2, 2026. Alex Heiter, TPA’s Director of Air Service Development, stated that adding another nonstop international flight reflects Breeze’s growing investment at Tampa and provides Tampa Bay travelers more direct access to
the Dominican Republic.
David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, said the airline continues to see strong demand in Tampa for its low-cost, high-value service and views the Santo Domingo route as a new travel option for the market.
