A power outage at SES Water’s Bough Beech plant cut running water to both London Gatwick Airport terminals on 26 July 2026. This forced restaurant closures, caused long toilet queues, delayed some flights, and prompted reduced bag drop hours.

TSSA union members will strike across the West Midlands rail network on July 31 and August 1, 2026, suspending key evening and morning services. Full refunds for cancelled tickets will be provided.
