Carnival Cruise Line started construction of Carnival Destiny, its first ACE Class ship, at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone yard on July 10, 2026. The ship will feature a record number of ocean-facing balcony cabins and arrive in summer 2029.

Royal Caribbean will not visit its private cruise destination Labadee, Haiti throughout 2026 due to ongoing gang violence and security issues. The cancellations affect dozens of itineraries across 12 ships, with alternative ports like Nassau and Cozumel replacing Labadee.

The Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady, with nearly 2,000 passengers, was denied entry by Turkish and Egyptian ports in July 2026. The denials disrupted the Mediterranean itinerary originally including stops in Turkey and Alexandria, Egypt.
