1 Hotels opened a 252-room hotel in Texas' tallest tower in Austin in late September 2026. Hyatt launched its adults-only all-inclusive Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana resort with 467 rooms near Punta Cana airport.

Hilton will open Cuber House Valencia, its first hotel in the city, in December 2026. Located in El Cabanyal, the 84-room lifestyle hotel features dining and leisure facilities near the beach and marina.

Barcelona City Council has approved a progressive increase of the tourist tax for cruise passengers spending less than 12 hours in the city. The tax will rise from €5 to €24 by 2030, the highest rate in the Mediterranean.
