Accor’s boutique hotel brand MGallery is establishing its first U.S. flagship property at the Ink 48 hotel in New York City. The 222-room hotel is located in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood near the Hudson River and will officially join the MGallery Collection in 2028.
Renovation and Partnership Details
Ink 48 will undergo an extensive renovation and enhancement program while continuing to operate independently and remain open to guests. The redevelopment aims to elevate the guest experience while preserving the hotel’s distinctive character. The hotel is a product of a partnership between New York’s Capstone Equities and Montreal-based Leyad, with management handled by the Rebel
Hotel Company.
Strategic Brand Expansion
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legends, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, described the inclusion of Ink 48 as a major advancement for the MGallery brand in North America. Bailly emphasized that the hotel will function as the preeminent MGallery flagship in the United States and contribute to raising brand awareness while supporting further regional growth. “New York City is one of the world’s most influential travel destinations and welcoming Ink 48 into the MGallery Collection represents a significant step forward for our brand in North America,” she said.
Global and Regional Footprint
MGallery operates more than 125 hotels globally, spanning locations from Vietnam
and Switzerland to Morocco and Australia. The brand’s North American expansion includes properties in Canada and Mexico, with Ink 48 set to strengthen its presence in the U.S. market. In addition to Ink 48, the MGallery Collection includes Hotel Ändra in Seattle.
Guest Experience and Loyalty Benefits
During the renovation period, Ink 48 will remain open, allowing uninterrupted service for guests. Members of Accor’s loyalty program, Accor Live Limitless (ALL), will gain a new lifestyle destination in New York City where they can earn and redeem points close to major city attractions. The hotel’s rooftop bar, Hudson Vu, offers panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline,
enhancing its appeal as a boutique destination within the MGallery portfolio.
