Accor is preparing to open the first U.S. flagship of its boutique hotel brand MGallery at the Ink 48 hotel in New York City in 2028. This marks the brand’s strategic expansion in North America, selecting the high-profile Ink 48 property located in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan.
Ink 48 Location, Features and Management
Situated near the Hudson River, Ink 48 offers 222 rooms and suites as well as panoramic skyline views and a rooftop bar called Hudson Vu. The hotel will undergo an extensive renovation and enhancement program that will elevate the guest experience while preserving its distinctive character. During renovations, Ink 48 will remain operational and
independent. The property is a partnership between New York-based Capstone Equities and Montreal’s Leyad. Rebel Hotel Company manages the hotel on behalf of these partners. Loyalty program members of Accor Live Limitless (ALL) will be able to earn and redeem points at the Ink 48 location once it transitions to the MGallery brand.
Official Statements on Brand Expansion
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legends, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, said, “New York City is one of the world’s most influential travel destinations and welcoming Ink 48 into the MGallery Collection represents a significant step forward for our brand in North America.” She added that as the
flagship property in the United States, Ink 48 will help increase brand awareness and support continued expansion across the region. An Accor representative described the renovation plan as an “extensive renovation and enhancement program designed to elevate the guest experience while preserving the property’s distinctive character.”
