A new proposal has been submitted to repurpose the lower floors of the John Hancock building in downtown Chicago for hotel use. This initiative aims to introduce hotel accommodations within the existing structure by adapting areas that are currently not dedicated to hospitality.
Through this adaptive reuse, the project intends to expand hotel capacity in one of Chicago’s most recognized skyscrapers. The plan reflects a mixed-use development strategy, focusing on converting parts of the building’s lower section into hotel space while preserving its iconic presence.
