Corporate Growth Drives Hospitality Investment in Uptown Dallas
Dallas continues to attract
significant corporate investment, particularly in the financial services sector, which reinforces its position as a leading business destination. Notable projects driving hospitality demand include Goldman Sachs’ 800,000-square-foot campus, Morgan Stanley’s nearly $700 million regional headquarters, and Scotiabank’s regional hub. Uptown Dallas, the center of this expansion, is also attracting investments from Jefferies Financial Group and UBS.
Executive Perspectives on Market Opportunity and Strategy
Greg Friedman, CEO and managing principal of Peachtree Group, stated, “Dallas continues to attract significant corporate investment, particularly in financial services, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading business destinations.” He added, “Uptown is at the center of that growth, creating an
attractive environment for hospitality investment. By bringing AC Hotel and Moxy together, we can serve a broader range of travelers while introducing a distinctive hospitality experience that reflects the neighborhood’s continued evolution.” John Schellhase, Vice President of Investments at Peachtree Group, noted, “Dallas is a market where we see tremendous long-term opportunity, and we’re proud to contribute to the continued growth and vitality of Uptown.” Vickie Callahan, president of hospitality management division at Peachtree Group, said, “The combination of AC Hotel and Moxy allows us to appeal to a broader range of travelers while creating operational efficiencies and a more
dynamic guest experience.”
Peachtree Group’s Texas Hospitality Portfolio Expansion
This Dallas hotel opening expands Peachtree Group’s portfolio of hospitality assets in Texas, which includes a 171-room Residence Inn in San Antonio’s Riverwalk and a 480-room dual-branded Embassy Suites and Tempo by Hilton in downtown Austin. These projects exemplify Peachtree’s strategy to develop properties in high-growth Texas markets with expanding business activity.
