Croatian Tourist Board Targets Year-Round Tourism Through Promotion and Fam Trips

The Croatian National Tourist Board is intensifying efforts to attract visitors outside the peak summer months. Plans include a winter marketing campaign highlighting Christmas markets in Zagreb, Osijek, and Varaždin, as well as winter activities in the mountains and national parks.

In 2027, fam trips for UK travel agents will be organized to showcase Croatia’s tourism offerings firsthand, supporting the board’s strategy to extend tourism into shoulder and winter seasons.

Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, stated, “There are some

new routes, and this will boost British tourism in 2027.” He added that the country can expect “more high-level quality of our hotel accommodation. Mostly these are Croatian hotel chains, but also some international ones.” Staničić also noted the rising interest in city breaks and gastronomy in Croatia and emphasized, “Clients can also experience our mountains and national parks in the winter season, with the snow, which is a special experience.”
