Stansted Airport announced the launch of nine new flight routes scheduled to begin within 2026, expanding its network across Europe and Turkey. These additions raise the total served destinations to more than 200.
New Airline Routes and Destinations
The nine new routes include Turkish Airlines’ service to Istanbul, launched in March 2026, operating up to 15 flights per week. This makes Stansted the airline’s sixth airport in the UK and links passengers to over 350 destinations via Istanbul.
EasyJet introduced flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle, while Ryanair added a route to Malmö, Sweden. Jet2.com expanded with three new connections from Stansted to Jerez in
southern Spain, Samos in Greece, and La Palma in the Canary Islands.
TUI started new flights to Kos, Greece. BA CityFlyer launched services to Olbia, Sardinia. AJet introduced a new route to Bodrum, Turkey. Cyprus Airways announced plans to resume UK operations with flights between Stansted and Larnaca, Cyprus.
Passenger Benefits and Airport Growth
The launch of these nine routes provides travelers with more options for leisure and business travel. The increase enhances convenience, destination variety, and direct connections from Stansted.
Official Statement on Network Expansion
Ciaran Brannigan, Commercial Director at London Stansted Airport, said, “We’re delighted to welcome new airlines and routes during 2026 that give our passengers even
greater choice, value and convenience.” He emphasized Stansted’s ongoing growth as a key gateway for travel across Europe and beyond.
Stansted is one of the UK’s busiest international airports, with over 200 destinations now served. Turkish Airlines operates 170 weekly flights from the UK and Ireland during the peak summer season, underscoring the airport’s role in expanding international connectivity.
