Travelers between Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Tokyo Disney Resort traditionally required at least one connecting flight, but ZIPAIR introduced nonstop charter flights in 2026 that link Orlando International Airport (MCO) with Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT).
ZIPAIR Charter Flight Schedule and Duration
ZIPAIR will operate four round-trip nonstop charter flights between Orlando and Narita in February and March 2027. The carrier estimates the nonstop journey duration at approximately 14 hours, reducing travel time compared to previously available connecting itineraries that took at least 18 hours. The first ZIPAIR charter flight arrived in Orlando on February 23, 2026.
Joint Vacation Packages with Japanese Agencies
Japanese travel agencies H.I.S., JTB, and
Jalpak are offering vacation packages including these charter flights. Packages combine Walt Disney World theme park tickets, stays at Disney-owned hotels, and airport transfers in Florida, enabling travelers to plan multi-faceted Disney vacations linked to the nonstop service.
Charter Flight Operations and Scheduling Status
The ZIPAIR nonstop flights operate strictly as charter services requiring government approval for each departure. These are not regular scheduled daily flights, and standalone tickets are expected to be available for purchase through ZIPAIR’s website starting late November 2026. Exact departure times and fares have yet to be announced.
Official Statements and Market Significance
Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said the initial ZIPAIR
flights generated excitement beyond expectations, signaling strong traveler demand for direct service between Florida and the Asia-Pacific region. He stated, “The excitement surrounding ZIPAIR’s first flights exceeded expectations and sent a clear message that travelers want this connection.” The nonstop route represents the first passenger air service directly linking Florida with Asia-Pacific destinations and opens new travel options for visitors in both Japan and Central Florida.
