ZIPAIR will operate four round-trip nonstop charter flights connecting Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) during February and March 2027. These flights mark a continuation of the Tokyo-Florida nonstop service first introduced by ZIPAIR in 2026.
The scheduled nonstop flights will each last approximately 14 hours, offering a time savings compared to connecting flights that typically take 18 hours or more. Flights departing from Narita are planned for morning departures with arrivals in Orlando the same morning local time, while return trips will depart Orlando in the morning and land in Narita the following afternoon. Flight
schedules remain subject to government approval.
Ticket Sales and Vacation Packages
Stand-alone airline tickets for the charter flights are expected to be available on ZIPAIR’s website beginning in late November 2026. Japanese travel agencies including H.I.S., JTB, and Jalpak are offering vacation packages that bundle these charter flights with Walt Disney World Resort park tickets in Florida, hotel accommodations, and airport transfers.
Because these flights operate only on limited dates and are not daily scheduled services, travelers should plan itineraries around the announced departures and avoid nonrefundable bookings until their flight is confirmed.
Significance of ZIPAIR’s Nonstop Service
The first ZIPAIR nonstop charter flight arrived at Orlando International Airport on
February 23, 2026, marking the inaugural nonstop passenger air service between Florida and the Asia-Pacific region. The airline subsequently operated additional charter flights in March and August 2026.
Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, stated that “The excitement surrounding ZIPAIR’s first flights exceeded expectations and sent a clear message that travelers want this connection.” This underlined the strong demand for direct flights between Orlando and Tokyo.
Background and Future Prospects
Prior to ZIPAIR’s nonstop charter flights, travelers between Orlando and Tokyo had to rely on itineraries with one or more connecting flights, which extended travel times. The new nonstop
route was introduced by ZIPAIR to meet demand for a direct connection between two significant Disney theme park destinations: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan.
ZIPAIR and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority have expressed intentions that these charter services could lead to permanent scheduled flights in the future. However, as of now, no regular daily flight service on this route has been confirmed.
