ZIPAIR is set to operate four round-trip nonstop charter flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) in February and March 2027, marking a return of the service after initial charters in 2026.

Flight Schedule and Duration

The nonstop flights will depart from Narita in the morning and arrive the same morning in Orlando, while return flights will leave Orlando in the morning and reach Narita the following afternoon, pending government approval. Flight time is approximately 14 hours, cutting at least four hours compared to previous itineraries requiring one or more connections with durations of 18 hours or longer.

This

service currently operates solely as a series of charter flights rather than a regular scheduled route, with limited departure dates requiring travelers to plan carefully.

Ticketing and Vacation Packages

ZIPAIR will offer standalone tickets for these charters on its website starting in late November 2026. Exact departure times and fares have not yet been released.

Japanese travel agencies including H.I.S., JTB and Jalpak are selling vacation packages that bundle the flight with Walt Disney World tickets, Disney-owned hotel accommodations, and airport transfers. These packages offer combined access to Orlando’s and Tokyo’s major Disney theme parks for travelers.

Background and Traveler Benefits

Before ZIPAIR’s charters, nonstop passenger service between

Florida and the Asia-Pacific region did not exist, requiring travelers to take connecting flights that significantly extended travel time. The nonstop flights provide a more direct travel option for visitors, simplifying logistics and reducing total journey time by four hours or more.

The route connects two major Disney theme park hubs: Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort and Japan’s Tokyo Disney Resort, which includes Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. It enables potential combined vacations between these destinations and opens new options for Japanese travelers visiting Florida’s parks.

Operational History and Official Statement

The first ZIPAIR charter arrived at Orlando International Airport on February 23, 2026. Subsequent

charters were flown in March and August 2026.

Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said, “The excitement surrounding ZIPAIR’s first flights exceeded expectations and sent a clear message that travelers want this connection.”

The airport authority and airline have expressed hope that these charter services could eventually evolve into regularly scheduled flights, although no permanent daily Orlando-Tokyo route has been announced to date.
