United Airlines will introduce three new international destinations from Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport during the winter 2026 season. Service to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico, will begin in late October 2026. Flights to Cartagena, Colombia, are scheduled to start in December 2026, while Houston-Caracas, Venezuela service will resume in January 2027.
Houston-Caracas Route Delayed by Earthquake Damage
The launch of United’s Houston-Caracas flights was postponed from an original August 2026 start date. Two major earthquakes severely damaged Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas, delaying the restoration of this route. The January 2027 service marks United’s return to Caracas after a multi-year suspension.
