The Davao Travel Expo 2027 is set to take place from March 5 to 7 at the SM Lanang SMX Convention Center in Davao City. Organized by the Davao Travel Agencies Association, the event will gather 60 exhibitors, including travel agencies, hotels, resorts, and tour operators from the region.

New Destinations Highlighted at the Expo

The expo will showcase new and popular travel destinations such as Canada, featuring the Aurora Borealis viewing season from late August to mid-April. It will also highlight Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, which were previously featured during the last event held at Ayala Malls Abreeza Activity

Center in February.

Japan National Tourism Organization to Participate

The Japan National Tourism Organization will join the expo promoting Japan as a leading travel destination for residents of Davao. The event will feature three-day business-to-consumer sessions where accredited local travel agents will engage directly with consumers to offer travel packages and deals.

Economic Context and Event Background

Formerly called the Davao Mega Travel Sale, the expo was renamed to better represent its scope. Despite the ongoing oil crisis, domestic flights continue due to the essential nature of travel in Mindanao’s business environment. To address economic challenges, airlines and hotels will offer discounted rates and special promotions during the event.

The Davao

Travel Expo aims to promote unique travel products and services while attracting more visitors to Davao City and Mindanao. Organizers emphasize the importance of the event as one of the biggest travel expos in the region, designed to stimulate tourism and provide consumers with a variety of travel opportunities.
