Dublin Airport reported nine flight cancellations on Saturday, October 24, 2026, caused by severe weather linked to Storm Boelo. The storm brought strong winds and heavy rain disrupting airport operations and passenger travel.

Cancelled Flights Between Dublin, Amsterdam, and Donegal

The cancelled flights at Dublin included four KLM services between Dublin and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: KL1137, KL1138, KL1139, and KL1140. In addition, Aer Lingus cancelled three flights connecting Dublin and Donegal, identified as EI3402, EI3403, and EI3408.

Aer Lingus and Met Éireann Official Statements

Aer Lingus stated it plans to maintain its full published schedule on October 24 and 25 but advised passengers to check flight statuses before traveling and allow extra time at

the airport. Met Éireann issued Orange weather warnings for parts of western and northern Ireland, highlighting the threat of severe weather from Storm Boelo.

Geographic Scope and Weather Conditions

Met Éireann’s Orange warnings specifically cover Kerry during Saturday morning and early afternoon, alongside advisories for western and northern counties extending into Sunday. Forecasts predict strong wind gusts, heavy rainfall, large coastal waves, power outages, and disruptions to various transport modes including air, rail, bus, and ferry services.

Passenger Impact and Travel Advice

Passengers affected by cancellations were urged to contact their airlines or booking agents for alternate arrangements or refunds. Travelers on operating flights were advised to monitor flight status

for potential delays or further cancellations. Those connecting through Amsterdam Schiphol should verify flight segments independently, given related disruptions there.

Additional Cancellations at Amsterdam and Passenger Rights

KLM reported 20 flight cancellations on October 23 and another 22 planned cancellations on October 24 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport due to strong winds. European passenger rights require airlines to provide care, rerouting options, or refunds in cases of severe weather disruptions, although cash compensation may not apply. Passengers were advised to retain receipts for any expenses arising from flight interruptions.
