Air Serbia announced and started ticket sales for six new international routes set to launch in 2027, including a nonstop connection between Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and Miami International Airport. The expansion marks a significant growth in Air Serbia’s global network.

New Destinations and Launch Dates

The airline will add flights to Miami, Helsinki, Yerevan, Cluj-Napoca, Chișinău, and Menorca in the upcoming year. Service to Miami will commence on May 20, 2027. Yerevan flights are scheduled to begin on March 28, 2027, operating three times weekly and increasing to four weekly by mid-June. Helsinki service will restart on April 1, 2027, with three weekly flights.

The Cluj-Napoca route is set to start on May 31, 2027, flying four times per week. Chișinău and Menorca will also join the summer network, though their exact start dates have not been specified.

Aircraft and Flight Frequencies

Air Serbia will deploy Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the new Belgrade to Miami nonstop route, which will operate twice weekly. The Yerevan flights will begin with three weekly services before increasing in frequency. Helsinki will have three weekly flights following the resumption. Cluj-Napoca flights will run four times weekly. Details on aircraft types and frequency for Chișinău and Menorca have not been disclosed.

Strategic Expansion Ahead of Expo 2027

The route expansion

aligns with Air Serbia’s strategy to increase international connectivity through Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, strengthening its role as a regional hub. The company’s CEO Jiří Marek highlighted that the new routes support sustainable growth and enhance Belgrade’s position in the region. Expo 2027 is expected to increase travel demand for business and tourism, making the timing of this expansion critical. The Miami service extends Air Serbia’s U.S. destinations to three, complementing its existing flights to New York and Chicago.

Benefits for Passengers and Network Connectivity

The broader network offers passengers more direct international travel options, particularly with the new nonstop Miami flights that connect southeastern Europe

with South Florida, a major gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. The addition of Yerevan strengthens Air Serbia’s Caucasus network alongside existing links to Tbilisi and Baku. The resumption of Helsinki flights restores a pre-pandemic connection to Northern Europe. Passengers from the Balkan region will also benefit from enhanced access to the United States via Belgrade.
