The Disney Magic will serve as the host ship for the 2027 Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Classic Cruise departing from San Diego, California, on October 24, 2027. The voyage will last five nights, bringing together classic film enthusiasts aboard this special sailing.

The cruise itinerary includes port calls at Catalina Island in California and Ensenada, Mexico. This route echoes the one taken by the 2026 cruise, which also departed from San Diego and included stops at these notable destinations.

Ben Mankiewicz, a host from Turner Classic Movies, will return as the primary presenter for the 2027 cruise. The previous 2026

event featured a range of distinguished guests such as Dyan Cannon, Beau Bridges, Jane Alexander, Tina Sinatra, and film historians Leonard Maltin and Bruce Goldstein, indicating the level of star power and expertise passengers can expect.

Attendees on the 2027 sailing will be offered a variety of TCM-themed events. These include classic film screenings, live appearances by legendary movie stars, behind-the-scenes presentations led by film experts, interviews, trivia games, and themed parties designed to celebrate cinema history. These activities follow in the tradition of the multi-day entertainment lineup seen during the 2026 sailing.

Registration for the 2027 TCM Classic Cruise

opens with a pre-sale starting October 19, 2026, followed by public ticket sales commencing December 16, 2026. Interested travelers are directed to visit the official TCM cruise website to sign up for early access and purchase options.

Currently in its 13th year, the TCM Classic Cruise is an established annual event. The 2026 sailing marked its 12th iteration and sold out in record time, underscoring ongoing demand among classic film fans for this unique cruise experience.

Charlie Tabesh, TCM’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, described the cruise as “one of the most special ways we get to celebrate classic

film with our fans.” He added, “For five days, we get to share great films, hear memorable stories and meet some of the people who helped make movie history. We’re thrilled to set sail again in 2027 and create another unforgettable week for the TCM community.”
