Breeze Airways will launch year-round nonstop service from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ), starting June 18, 2027. The airline will operate the route twice weekly on Fridays and Mondays using Airbus A220-300 aircraft. This marks the first year-round nonstop flight service between Tampa and Santo Domingo.
Breeze Airways Expands at Tampa International Airport
According to Tampa International Airport, Breeze Airways’ expansion reflects strong demand for its low-cost travel model in the Tampa market. The airport’s Director of Air Service Development, Alex Heiter, said, “What a thrill it has been to watch Breeze’s rapid growth at TPA. By adding another international nonstop flight,
the airline continues to increase its commitment to TPA and will soon offer Tampa Bay travelers another easy way to reach the Dominican Republic.” Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman added, “We continue to see great demand for our high-value, low-cost model in Tampa, and our continued growth there is an example of just that. This new travel option to Santo Domingo will give Tampa another option to come fly Breeze when they want to take that next trip.”
Breeze Airways’ Dominican Republic Network from Tampa
Santo Domingo will become Breeze Airways’ sixth international destination from Tampa International Airport. The new route complements the nonstop service
to Punta Cana, which Breeze launched from Tampa on July 2, 2026. These routes bolster the airline’s Caribbean connectivity from Tampa.
