Geggs Getaways hosted its inaugural travel show at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club on September 24, 2026, drawing an audience of more than 200 people. The event marked the agency’s first live travel exhibition and aimed to connect with the local community directly.

The travel show generated £11,000 in bookings during the evening and sparked £50,000 worth of additional enquiries that the agency is actively pursuing. The agency reported that Florida holidays and cruise trips were particularly popular among attendees.

Exhibitors from Leading Cruise Lines and Holiday Providers

Thirteen suppliers took part in the travel show, including major cruise lines MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, and Crystal

Cruises. Other exhibitors featured were Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts.

Geggs Getaways also promoted its collaborations with Transun, Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers as part of the event’s offerings.

Charity Raffle Raises £500 for Dementia UK

The event included a raffle that raised £500 for Dementia UK. Galaxi donated a prize for the raffle, a three-night stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai, adding appeal to the fundraising effort during the evening.

Support from Homeworking by Inspire and Inspire Group

Homeworking by Inspire played a supportive role in organizing the event, helping to secure exhibitors, prizes, and providing

marketing assistance. Three members from Inspire Group’s head office attended the event: Sam Fisher, head of business development and training; Stacey Wilson, onboarding and travel success manager; and Alice Victoria Whalley, travel success manager.

Agency owner Ryan Anthoney credited the agency network’s support for making the event possible, emphasizing the strong supplier backing and the local community’s interest in face-to-face travel advice.

Lisa Henning, chief executive of Inspire Group, said the show demonstrated how independent homeworking agents can expand their business and elevate their local visibility through live events. She added that supporting agents to organize such shows aligns with

Inspire Group’s objectives.

Anthoney said, “None of it would have been possible without the fantastic support of our suppliers, who really got behind the event, and I’d like to thank every one of them. Raising money for Dementia UK at the same time made the evening even more special, and we’re already planning next year’s show.”

Henning commented, “Supporting our agents to make events like this happen is exactly what we’re here for. It’s a great example of how independent homeworking agents can drive business in their community and raise their local profile.”
