The Victoria line experienced a partial suspension on October 5, 2026, with no trains running between Victoria and Brixton following a signal fault at the Brixton South London stop, Transport for London (TfL) reported.

On National Rail, a train fault between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey resulted in the closure of railway lines, disrupting London Northwestern Railway services throughout much of the morning.

Additional delays occurred across several London Underground lines. The District line faced minor delays between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon due to a faulty train at Parson’s Green. The Central line has returned to good service after

earlier cancellations. The Piccadilly line experienced minor delays between Acton Town and Heathrow Airport, caused by an earlier track inspection and an ill passenger at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3.

Great Western Railway services between West Ealing and Greenford operated at reduced speeds due to imposed speed restrictions, leading to a limited service.

Tram services are partially closed until Wednesday owing to planned engineering works. Eastbound trams will not run between Wandle Park and Centrale, and westbound services are suspended between Church Street and Wandle Park during this period.

Overall, TfL reported severe delays across the Victoria line while repairs

to the signal fault at Brixton are underway. Minor delays on the Lioness line are attributable to an earlier customer incident at Stonebridge Park. National Rail communicated that restrictions and faults are affecting train movements across the region this morning.
