Buyer registration for WTM Africa 2027, Africa’s leading B2B travel and tourism exhibition, officially opened on 21 September 2026. The event will be held from 7 to 9 April 2027 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa, inviting outbound travel buyers and travel technology professionals to participate.
Expanded Geographic Representation for 2027
The 2027 edition will showcase the broadest geographic diversity to date. New and returning markets include North African countries Egypt and Algeria; West African nations Nigeria and Benin; East African and Indian Ocean destinations Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Réunion; Southern African countries Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and
Angola; as well as the Middle Eastern United Arab Emirates. This expansion aims to bring a wider array of destinations and suppliers to buyers under one roof.
Buyers’ Club Returns Offering Enhanced Access
The WTM Africa Buyers’ Club will return for 2027, exclusively for qualified purchasers and contracting decision-makers. Club members will receive priority access to new destinations and products, exclusive networking opportunities with exhibitors and senior industry figures, curated sessions covering destination trends and travel technology, and access to a dedicated Buyers’ Lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi, refreshments, and lunch. WTM Africa Officials Emphasize Event Significance
Megan De Jager, Portfolio Director
for Travel, Tourism and Sports at RX Africa, stressed the importance of WTM Africa for serious business across the continent’s travel sector. She stated, “If you’re serious about doing business across the African travel and tourism landscape, this is where you need to be.” De Jager highlighted the expanded representation, saying it adds depth and diversity and valuable opportunities to grow networks and forge partnerships.
Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said, “We are proud and excited to welcome the world’s travel and tourism community to Cape Town once again for the 2027 instalment of WTM Africa in April next year.”
He called the event the continent’s premier travel and tourism expo and emphasized the opportunity to connect and unlock new possibilities for African tourism.
De Jager also noted, “Buyers come to WTM Africa with clear commercial objectives, so every part of the experience is designed to make their time count,” referring to pre-scheduled meetings and targeted networking facilitating tangible business growth.
