The 9th edition of the Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) will take place from 27 to 29 October 2026 at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC) in Malaysia. The event features a three-day program consisting of 1.5 days of structured business-to-business (B2B) appointments followed by 1.5 days of familiarisation tours across Penang.
Organisers have confirmed the participation of 100 buyers representing different segments of the travel trade, including corporate, incentive, and association buyers. The event is also expected to attract around 50 exhibitors from various parts of Malaysia.

economy, highlighted the event’s role in connecting the tourism industry. He stated, “PITE has evolved into an important platform for the tourism industry to connect, exchange ideas and create new business opportunities across borders. This year, we are particularly pleased to welcome a diverse group of buyers from both established and emerging markets.”

Beyond the B2B meetings, PITE 2026 offers international buyers direct exposure to Penang’s tourism assets including its cultural heritage, culinary offerings, and travel appeal. The familiarisation activities aim to showcase the destination’s diverse ecosystem to encourage future business collaborations.
