ITE Ho Chi Minh City 2026 Draws 48,000 Visitors with 1,200 Exhibitors

ITE Ho Chi Minh City 2026 Marks 20 Years with 48,000 Visitors

The 20th edition of the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) was held from August 27 to 29, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. This largest edition in the event’s history attracted nearly 48,000 visitors and featured 1,200 exhibitors, generating more than 21,000 business-to-business meetings.

Theme and Program Focus of ITE HCMC 2026

Under the theme “Vibrant Connections – Global Destinations,” the expo focused on trade, promotion, knowledge exchange, and cooperation across multiple tourism topics. The program covered MICE tourism, sustainability, destination branding, technology and artificial intelligence, medical tourism, innovation, and international market connectivity. The High-Level

Tourism Forum on MICE tourism was attended by over 400 government, industry, and business representatives, including Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

Mekong Subregion Ministerial Meetings and Bilateral Engagements

Simultaneously, ITE HCMC 2026 hosted three Mekong Subregion tourism ministerial meetings—CLV, ACMECS, and CLMV—and their Senior Officials’ Meetings to promote regional connectivity, sustainable development, and market cooperation. City leaders conducted bilateral meetings and courtesy calls with the Cambodian Minister of Tourism delegation, the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and Qingdao Airlines, focusing on institutional cooperation and destination promotion.

Familiarization Trips and Public Engagement

Sixteen familiarization and press-trip itineraries introduced

more than 400 ministers, mayors, international buyers, media representatives, and content creators to cultural, heritage, culinary, urban, resort, golf, green, and ecological tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding destinations. The public program featured tourism products, travel offers, regional cuisine, OCOP products, and cultural performances, providing consumers direct access to tourism businesses.

Organizers, History, and Upcoming Dates

The event was directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, jointly organized by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism. It was implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City

Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition Joint Stock Company. Founded in 2005, ITE HCMC has become Vietnam’s leading annual international travel expo and a key tourism trade platform in the Mekong subregion. The next edition, ITE HCMC 2027, is scheduled from September 9 to 11, 2027, again at the SECC in Ho Chi Minh City.
