Sapphire Sands Villas, a new luxury resort on Reduit Beach in Saint Lucia, opened in late July 2026 offering nine beachfront villas totaling 27 keys. Developed by Bay Gardens Resorts, the property adopts a villa-first concept catering to high-end travelers seeking villa-style accommodations combined with resort amenities.
The villas at Sapphire Sands can be booked as one-, two-, or three-bedroom units configured to suit couples, families, and larger groups. Each villa includes a full kitchen, living area, and a private ocean-view balcony. Select ground-floor villas are equipped with private plunge pools, enhancing the privacy of the accommodation.
Bay Gardens Resorts
trained a dedicated team of 18 butlers to provide 24-hour personalized service at Sapphire Sands Villas. This butler program addresses the specific requirements of villa-styled hospitality, offering guests concierge-level attention throughout their stay.
The resort encompasses a spa featuring six treatment rooms, a fitness center, designated yoga space, and a large swimming pool. Its on-site restaurant, Kimchi & Kalaloo, specializes in Asian-Caribbean fusion cuisine with an emphasis on Korean barbecue, establishing a distinct culinary identity.
Sapphire Sands guests gain access to additional amenities across the Bay Gardens Resorts portfolio in Rodney Bay through the ‘Stay at 1, Play at 5’
program. This includes the Bay Gardens Beach Club, Koral Kidz Club, and Splash Island Waterpark. The resort benefits from its proximity to Rodney Bay’s restaurants, bars, and marina.
Bay Gardens Resorts began operations in 1994 and has invested $13 million in a multi-year enhancement plan starting in 2018 covering renovations and development across its properties. Sapphire Sands Villas marks a strategic shift from traditional hotel rooms to a villa-centric model aligned with evolving Caribbean luxury travel trends.
The proximity to Saint Lucia’s main international airport requires a longer transfer to Rodney Bay, while the smaller northern airport lies approximately six
miles from Sapphire Sands. Miami offers convenient nonstop flights to Saint Lucia, with an average flight time of about 3 hours and 50 minutes, facilitating access for travelers from the United States.
The opening of Sapphire Sands Villas reflects Bay Gardens Resorts’ aim to merge the independence and space of villa accommodations with comprehensive resort facilities and hospitality services, responding to growing demand for flexible, high-end villa stays for families and groups on the island.
