The platform refreshes data every 20 seconds to provide up-to-date operational snapshots.

TrainTracker24 allows users to rotate and zoom the map, with
filters available by country, train operator, and infrastructure status. The map includes data from Eurostar and Italy’s Frecciarossa high-speed services and indicates stations without service, high-speed lines, and publicly inaccessible operational stations.

Users can search by train number to access scheduled and past journeys, live tracking, departures, arrivals, punctuality, and station facilities across France, Spain, Belgium, and Germany. Operator routes and performance metrics are also accessible on the platform.

Elric Battello, founder of TrainTracker24, told Luxembourg-based media Virgule that flight and shipping live tracking is commonly accessible, unlike train tracking which has lagged behind. Battello stated, “When you’re flying, or waiting for someone at the airport, it’s easy to open Flightradar24 to track
the flight live on a map; the same goes for shipping. With trains, it’s different. You’ll often see a display at the station or receive a notification in the event of a delay. But you don’t really know what’s going on.”
